What does the A mean?


And what year was the Stone Arch Bridge built?

His middle name was "Alfred."
He thought the building should be designed by "Architects."
BUT, i think the "A" was just a designation for the "main" mill, in keeping with the naming conventions of other mills of its time....

I would have guessed the A stands for his middle name too. Is that correct? :)
