The Heart of a LionThe largest and brightest star of the constellation Leo is Regulus (Alpha Leonis). This large blue star shines brightly as the heart of the lion. Although not a giant star, Alpha Leonis is still over five times as large as our Sun. It is one of the 25 brightest stars in the sky.
Leo is the fifth sign in astrology and includes invididuals born between July 23 and August 22.
